The state owned shares in the bus company Combus that had financial problems and therefore, was provided with substantial state funds. The investigation included the Department of Transport’s management of the ownership of Combus to assess whether criticisable circumstances were present. Included an assessment of the rules/standards, which should be applied with regards to public ownership of companies. The investigation was set in motion because of a critical report from the National Audit Office of Denmark.
Another critical report from the National Audit Office of Denmark was the cause of an examination of the IT expenses of the Ministry of Church Affairs, which had been increasing considerably over a period of years. The purpose of this investigation was to shed some light on the background for this increase and to assess whether criticisable circumstances were present.
